Cleaners Melbourne is an independent guide to cleaning homes in Melbourne and Victoria. We publish plain-language guides in three areas: hiring a cleaner, including checks, quotes and agreements; end of lease cleaning, including the Victorian standard, condition reports and bond disputes; and cleaning at home, including mould, chemical safety, carpets and routines. Our free cleaning checklist helps you plan a regular clean or a move-out clean.
Why we exist
This web address was once used to connect Melbourne households with cleaning services, and later lapsed. Many people hire a cleaner or face a final rental inspection without much background on their rights, safety or what to agree in writing. We want to give you that background so you can ask good questions and make confident decisions.
How we work
We write every guide in our own words. For facts about rules and safety, we rely on official sources such as Consumer Affairs Victoria, the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, VCAT decisions, the Victorian Department of Health, healthdirect, ABN Lookup and the Fair Work Ombudsman, and we list our sources on each page. We never invent statistics, prices, quotes or testimonials, and we don't rank cleaners or products.
Independence
Cleaners Melbourne (cleanersmelbourne.com.au) is an independent information site. We are not a cleaning company, agency, tenancy advice service or government body, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any business, agency or organisation named on this site, any previous operator of this domain, or any business with a similar name.
General information only
Laws, guidance and products change over time. Our guides are general information, not legal, health or tenancy advice. Check current requirements with the relevant agency, and get professional advice for your situation.
